The difference between semi-trailer and full trailer

Semi trailer and full trailer may sound similar, but there are actually significant differences. Let's talk about their differences~
A semi-trailer, as the name suggests, is a part that is "hung" behind the front of the vehicle. It does not have front wheels and relies entirely on the front of the vehicle for support and traction. The front of the car and the semi-trailer are connected by something called a "saddle", which feels a bit like "hitchhiking". The characteristics of a semi-trailer are strong flexibility and small turning radius, making it particularly suitable for long-distance transportation. For example, the container transport vehicle we commonly see is a semi-trailer.
A full trailer is different, it has complete front and rear wheels, like an independent small car, just needs the front of the car to tow. The trailer and the front of the car are connected by a hook, which feels a bit like a "trailer". The load capacity of a full trailer is usually larger than that of a semi-trailer, but because there are wheels at the front and rear, it is not as flexible when turning, making it suitable for short distance or special transportation scenarios, such as heavy equipment transportation on construction sites.
Simply put, semi-trailer is "supported by the front of the car", while full trailer is "walking independently". Both types of cars have their own uses, it depends on which one is needed specifically!
